About this cartoon: Police shootings in the U.S. of young black males by (generally) white officers are nothing new, but the frequency of them and the documentation of them via videos and on social media helped create the Black Lives Matter movement to protest what feels like racist proportions of incidents. WHite conservatives have taken to responding to the mevement's name with the dismissive statement, "All lives matter," showing a tone-deafness to the feelings of African Americans.
